SCIGRIP IPS Weld-On #1001 - Vinyl Cement - 2 Gallons

  • $217.55

  • SCIGRIP® 1001 is formulated for bonding a wide variety of plastics such as vinyl, rigid PVC, flexible PVC, foamed PVC, ABS, and non-plastics to themselves and each other
  • SCIGRIP 1001 is recommended in building and industrial applications involving rigid or semi-rigid materials, such as vinyl extrusions
  • For similar applications employing plasticized flexible vinyl, SCIGRIP 1829 is recommended
Descriptions

SCIGRIP 1001 is a clear solvent cement of thin syrupy consistency. It cures with the dissipation of solvent at room temperature, forming strong, water resistant joints. Time of cure will vary with materials and application techniques. Bond strength develops slowly. This is particularly true with nonporous materials.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Clean surfaces to be joined. Coat each mating surface with SCIGRIP 1001. Wait about 5 to 10 seconds before assembly of porous material and 10 to 20 seconds when one surface is non-porous, such as glass or metal. Press parts firmly together. Use clamps or weights until cement has set sufficiently for handling strength. If parts are strained, do not remove clamps for at least a few hours, depending on materials and room temperature.
